Nexus 7 : How to organize apps in a folder?
We are installing lots of apps in our Nexus 7 tablet and it will be easier to access these apps if we organize the related apps in a folder. For example we may want to create a folder called “Video” and want to add all video related apps such as “Netflix”, “YouTube” etc. To achieve this there is an android app called “Apps Organizer” available. The steps for organizing apps in a folder are listed below.
1) Go to Google play store and install “Apps Organizer” app.
2) After installing open “Apps Organizer” app.
3) It will display a screen that has two tabs. The first tab is called “Apps” where all the apps are listed.
4) The second tab is called “Labels” where the folder labels are displayed. You will see the existing available labels (folders).
5) The idea is choose the apps from “Apps” tab and assign them to the folder you want. Once you choose the app the “Choose labels” screen will be displayed.
6) To create a new folder enter the folder name and press “OK” button.
7) You can assign one or more apps for that label.
8) For example, you create a folder called “Media” and assign “Netflix” and “Youtube” apps into that folder.
9) Now to access this folder from your home screen, you need to add this folder to your screen using shortcut.
10) To do this, go to your home screen and select “Shortcuts”.
11) Select “App Organizer”.
12) Select the label (for example : “Media”) you want to create the shortcut.
13) Now you can see new shortcut is created in the home screen.
14) Touch the shortcut cut (In out example, the shortcut name is “Media”) to see the organized apps.
That’s all.
